Nineteen thirties photographs taken in the Tanimbar islands by the celebrated Dutch missionary ethnographer, Petrus Drabbe, show filigree earrings worn by noble women known as Kmwene. They were handed down through the generations and can be quite old. This is an exceptionally beautiful pair.
